Ordinary people are sick of being told what to believe, what to think, how to act, what to want, and what to do with their lives.
They’re sick of being told that every hardship they face is their faul. They’re sick of being gaslit and being told that they just need to work harder when they’re working as hard as they can.
They’re sick of being told that they’re unpatriotic and they should leave the country and that they are ungrateful when they point out that they’re not okay with how the United States is behaving on a moral level when they advocate for change and for taxation of the ultra-wealthy.
They’re sick of being called whiny little bitches when they point out the need for change, or that the system is rigged, or that the country is no longer following the ideals listed in the Declaration of Independence.
They are sick of people with survivorship bias telling them that everything is fine because they made it and their friends made it. They are sick of being told that the economy is doing great when the reality is it’s doing great for the people at the top, but average ordinary people are struggling to make ends meet.
They are sick of being told to just accept their station in life, be good obedient little worker bees, and that they should be grateful that their betters allow us to have jobs.
They’re not being immature, they’re behaving like adults. This isn’t a left or right wing thing. This goes fundamentally beyond that.
This is about being treated like human beings. This is about real equality and real dignity. It’s about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and they’re sick of being called selfish because they want that.
